Andover Parent Legislative Council

Andover, Kansas

The Andover Parent Legislative Council (APLC) is a parent-led, volunteer organization which supports all USD #385 Andover public schools through legislative advocacy. The Council tracks legislation, relays information to parents/community members, and facilitates communication between district parents and our elected representatives. During the school year, the council meets on the third Tuesday of each month from noon to 1 p.m. at the Andover District Office, 1432 N Andover Road. Our meetings are open to the public.

Now is the Time to Contact Your Legislators! View APLC flyer

It is important that our legislators hear restore funding for schools now.  Representatives Hedke and Scapa need to hear how vital education is to you and your children.  Senate sub for HB2200 is still on the table while new tax reductions are being debated.  We're down to the last two weeks of legislative action, it's time to email or call our elected representatives and voice your concerns and opinions now.  Our children are counting on us.

Together we will make a difference for our children and their education.

View the APLC flyer for examples of what the district has been forced to cut due to decreased funding. The flyer also contains legislator contact information. It is very important that our representatives and senators hear from you about how decreased funding is affecting your child's education.
